the shimmering light fades
as polkadotted dimes bathe
change in arrays of striped paint draining from her face
a façade
a silent ah in surroundings charged
the cost of dreams discarded at the door
like virgin blood from goosebumps on the floor
more is as more can be
a philosophy
i day a date the difference in day dream and breathe
her chest beats the heart of a stranger
hidden
but worthy of admittance admitting what was once a riddle in ridden
the ticket
the ride
the night her heels died in soul of electric blue genocide
we dance
