From My Heart to Yours
November 14, 2007
O, how I tremble to find speech sufficient
To express this fire that rages within me
I dare not call it love, for it was love at first sight
And since that initial glance it has grown beyond words
Ye, even the language of the Gods could not justly express
This feeling that overwhelms my mind, heart, body and soul
With most omniscient power and devotion, yet
Like the Universe it knows not bounds
For it expands and grows endless
In your presence and absence both
Untainted by the human condition
It stands immortal and eternal
Fearless in the eyes of folly
Estoy locamente enamorado de ti
If there was an asylum for such insanity
I would surely dwell therein
Trapped from your love?
Nay, these are but feeble attempts
For there is no such wall
On Earth nor in Heaven
With the strength or pinnacle
To keep my heart from yours
Or yours from mine
Thou art living testimony of Gods divinity
For only he could personify all the virtues and beauty’s
In your silhouette; angels are but prototypes in your comparison
Sight of your smile triumph’s over Life’s most atrocious tyrants
And conquers its vile corruption
Thou art everything wonderful and pleasant;
As pure as the First Garden
As chaste as Penelope
Thy beauty puts Helen’s to shame in assessment
So unbelievably so, I often doubt my eyes deceive me
Nevertheless, I am besieged by righteous rapture and delight
‘This is heaven, nor am I out of it’
For even the topless Tower of Babylon was out of Heavens reach
But where thou art is Heaven
And where I shall be
Por siempre
