He really goes with something different every album. Live at Stubbs and Youth sound very different. This time around, he came with something really different. Often mixing up reggae, hip-hop and rock beats, he comes with some great lyrics and catch melodies.
Being a Hasidic Jew, Matisyahu often has really deep, spiritual music. He's constantly positive; although being unapologetically jewish, he seeks peace in Israel and I've personally heard him say at concerts that he wants peace between muslims and Jews in Israel.
This album is his best yet in my opinion. Catchy, deep, and different then a majority of whats out there. I would argue those who liked Live at Stubbs but didnt get into Youth will really enjoy this album, while those who favored Youth will still enjoy it.
