    but opey makes a good point. you have no idea what an arpeggiator is. let alone have any idea how to program a synth. therefore fruity loops is prolly your best bet.
    I treat software just like gear. I want one program for something specialized that it does well, instead of a program jam packed with bells and whistles that you might not use and other programs might do better. If I want an arpeggiator then I get an arpeggiator. Same with a sampler or a synth or anything else. I use pro tools and hand pick the plugins that I want to use instead of limiting myself to what one program offers.

    you should get the novation sl automap is the shit plus you get 8 drum pads is up there though depending on which size you get it

    i program all my drums in reason and most synths come from reason too. the combinator is a very useful tool.

    Reason is pretty much the only all in one solution. FL Studio is but most of the built in stuff is ehh. The only problem with Reason is that you cant add any third party plugins and it has no audio input. This makes it virtually useless for my needs. The only time I use it is to rewire Malstrom into Pro Tools, because it's the only graintable synth out there.

    Yea Im A Big Fan Of The Malstrom. I Like Usin It As A Filter Envelope. And Routing Cv Controls For Automation. Comes In Real Handy For Makin Custom/unique Sounds
