Operation Doomsday again. Wtf? I thought last time maybe I just wasn`t in the mood to listen to his type of shit. But wow. The beats on that shit are complete garbage. And dude has no idea of what flow is. He sounds so fuckin` amateur. And Hosea told me he`s been rappin` since the 80`s? So then I try to pop on that Madvillain shit. Ok. But still not feelin` the dude. Seriously. I don`t see how so many people high up the dude.

I can't stand him either, but I like some of his beats. I'm kind of a madlib fan too so Madvillian is listenable to me.
I listen to Vaudiville Villian every now and then. I just see MF Doom as just trying to do something new and completely original, which he is doing nowadays because back in the day when he used to Rap with KMD he didn't sound anything like he does now and had a much more refined style. And some of his beats are dope, and some are just plain wack. Check out Vaudiville Villian Nahlidge, it was the album that made me get into him a bit more.

I been saying this for so long. That's supposed to be his best album and it's absolutly unbearable and unlistenable. I keep trying to explain that it's not that I think he's just a wack rapper who doesn't appeal to me or something like Nelly or Diddy, but he doesn't even SOUND like a profesional rapper. At least they do what they do profesionaly and well. He sounds like he's still struggling to learn.
Only song he ever sounded decent on to me was with De La Soul.

But I guess that' goes to show how people can hear the same exact thing and have 2 completly opposite opinions. But I'm sorry to me it just sounds HORRIBLE, like some random mediocre guys soundclick.
yeah, I personally loved that album, and Doom in general. and the stuff from the 80's is KMD, with him as Zev Love X, his brother, and one other guy? I think. that's how the whole mask thing came to be.. when his brother who was in KMD got hit by a car and died; Zev just lost it and left, was basically homeless for a while. when he came back he started rapping at open mics and poetry nights with stockings over his head so he wouldnt be recognized, and eventually he adopted the mask and the name Metal Face Doom.
