You bought a mic and said you wanted to start making beats? Man, if you wanna make beats you don't need the mic. Download a program like Fruity Loops Studio, Reason, etc. off Limewire, Ares, etc. or buy it. Those are beat making programs. No need for the mic unless you're gonna spit.

^Better hurry up for that preamp cuz never know when someone's gonna purchase it. That's what you're gonna need to have a decent set up and maybe a mic cable cord which might come with the MXL, not sure, but you could just pick up one of those at Radio Shack, etc. This is the cheapest you can go to having a decent set up. Hope you're proud of me Opey, lol.

you need a condencer mic with mic pre....but if your into beat making for now dl fruty loops or reason if your serious.....and no that set up is so very wronge...drop a budget

give me a budget and I'll tell u waht to get. i'm telling u right now u need a condensor mic ($60-$3000), a preamp ($100-$3000), a recording soundcard ($100-$10,000), closed backed headphones ($30-$100), mic stand ($20), pop filter ($15), and cables ($3-$50 each). the minimum will get you a setup that is actually audible without having static and with clever mixing by a pretty dope engineer could possibly pass for sounding dope. Obviously the maximum prices are to show u how expensive shit can get lol. if you're not willing to for over the bare minimum then u might as well just stick to that logitech cus It's gonna sound like ass anyway.
