From a business standpoint: Cash Money/Young Money
I see a lot of moves been done in the last few months in terms of signing talent and acts on the Cash Money brand and Young Money under that. Cory Gunz for example I read just signed with YM
Who's winning and who's losing here? Of course I see Drake getting a lot of support for his project, Nicki too, but what about the others? Do you think they've a chance at commercial success too and does being part of young money only help them? or can it somehow limit them?

Yeah like HE said only time will tell. Odds are in a few years they will become irrelevant though.
Re: From a business standpoint: Cash Money/Young M
Don't say that.. you might upset some of the groupies they got here. It'll break their hearts.

Bow wow's on Young Money... rofl
YM is garbage and I expect them to die down once the dickriding of Drake goes down. Drake being famous and Wayne running it are the only things keeping them alive.
Re: From a business standpoint: Cash Money/Young M
Bow Wow's not on Young Money
There all gunna drop their albums periodically throughout the year. It's not like one's gunna outshine anyone else..Like Drake drop this year and no one else from their camp will. I'm pretty sure Drake's album is coming out, then Nikki Minaj, then I believe it's Jae Millz, then Gudda Gudda, then Short Dawg, then whoever else. Whatever happens though, Short Dawgs album better come out this year...he's nasty
I don't think they'll have problems in their camp and ppl outshining anyone or becoming irrelevant cause they all appeal to different groups of people..and when they come together and drop shit as a group, they sell easily
And I got a pimple on my cheek. it hurts.
Re: From a business standpoint: Cash Money/Young M
From a business view lets just say I bet Wayne makes so much more then the rest haha. Alot of people do like Nikki Minaj, especially girls. Drake is just real popular right now I dont really think hell be up there that long. Lil twist in my opinion is just horrible I think the younger oen then him is actually better than him. Gudda is real good, but I havent seen much from him that doesnt have lil wayne in it. Millz is good, but same thing as gudda there. I dont really know about the rest...
Re: From a business standpoint: Cash Money/Young M
I think they`re signin` more street aimed artists so they can attack that lane too. And I think bein` signed to Cash money/young money it`ll give those artist more commercial attention then they would get just because they`re the label that has the "hottest" artists out right now.
And I think Bow Wow is on cash money. I wanna see what his next album sound like. His last 2 mixtapes were better than any album he`s put out. excludin` his teeny bop albums, I don`t compare his "growin` up" shit to those lol.

Being in G-Unit destroyed Lloyd banks career.

In my opinion the dude is sick, and fifty just being a power hungry whore made it impossible for Lloyd to be as great as he could, which is the real reason I think game left.
Re: From a business standpoint: Cash Money/Young M
^ Lmao.. what? Lloyd Banks IS a G-Unit rapper. If it wasn't for G-Unit, he wouldn't be known at all. Sure he was ill, but so are a lot of dudes who aren't anywhere.
Re: From a business standpoint: Cash Money/Young M
Speaking of which outside of Drake and Nicki Minaj, YM doesnt seem to have the IT act. they havent gone signing anyone to the team like G-Unit did, but I think signing Cory Gunz was a bad move on both parts. You take a chance on another mixtape rapper from NY who was supposed to be next to blow up.... 5 years ago. Cory, you sign to the label that basically took you off the most successful song of 2008. As far as that, I think theyll just be the typical label where the headlining acts bring the fame to them and not the label itself being known for making quality music.
Re: From a business standpoint: Cash Money/Young M
Once more people know about Short Dawg, they'll be even more popular
Re: From a business standpoint: Cash Money/Young M
It's like The Game, I had no idea who he was, if it wasn't for G-Unit. He was always the guy in the music videos, now look at him.
& I've never heard of short dawg, Millz is nice, Tyga is aswell, but I'm not really feeling the rest.
Though I think they'll be here for awhile.
